iPhone 5 sales break Apple record
The iPhone 5 went on sale yesterday at Apple stores worldwide, and while sales figures for in-store purchases have not yet been released the?latest figures regarding pre-orders have been reported and they are record-breaking for Apple.
A new report from ComScore found that within the first three days of Iphone 5 preorders, the product had already matched the monthlong sales figures for the iPhone 4S, previously an Apple record.?Pre-orders for the iPhone 5, which went live at midnight, September 12, sold out in only 60 minutes, compared to the 22 hours it took for pre-orders for the iPhone 4S to sell out.?
Apple has already said that it received 2 million pre-orders for the phone in the first 24 hours and analysts expect sales of around 6 million phones by the end of the weekend.?
